Leadership Programme Launch:
As part of DLA’s efforts to develop young visionary leaders in the continent, a leadership programme was launched in August 2014. Bonang Mohale, the Chairman and Group CEO of Shell South Africa, gave the keynote address on the subject of leadership, supported by Bonolo Cebe, a fellow of the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders Initiative.
Opening Function 2015:
DLA had the honour of hosting the advisor to the honourable Deputy Minister in the Presidency, Buti Manamela, who delivered a speech on his behalf on the subject of volunteerism. This speech and the coverage of the event on news agencies such as ANN7 generated a huge amount of positive response from the youth in all corners of South Africa, all offering to volunteer in the organisation.
Youth Day Celebration 2016:
In commemoration of June 16 DLA held an inspirational event aimed at creating awareness about some of the exciting careers that current learners can pursue. The event was held at Tandi Eleanor Sibeko Secondary in Duduza. This successful and inspiring event was attended by high profile professionals from industries such as Actuarial Science, Chemical Engineering, and Chartered Accountancy.
We equip aspiring leaders youth leadership skills which essential for the smooth running of a business or an organization. Leadership takes different forms, a leader can lead his own course or enhance a business or organization through excellent management.
It is important to ensure that future leaders are well equipped to lead with honesty, integrity and be accountable for their actions. It is important to educate them on the be appropriate course of action.
The youth leadership skills gained through our development programme equips future leaders with all the skills that enable them to lead productive teams in the future.

- They contribute in identifying potential leaders, and tackling challenges that occur in an real life business situations.
In a bid to help future African leaders, we run youth leadership skills programme designed to achieve the following objectives:
- Educate young, aspiring and current leaders on great leadership principles;
- Inspire young, aspiring and current leaders by hosting a conglomerate of successful, exceptional and highly experienced leaders in the fields of business, academia, politics, arts, and sports as guest speakers at our regular leadership gatherings;
- Create a platform that enables interaction between well-established leaders with young aspiring leaders so they can share their wealth of knowledge;
- Provide leadership guidance and practical advice to young leaders.
